Policy 1470 – Public Gifts to Schools

The Board of Education recognizes the educational value of appropriate gifts to schools from Parent
Teacher Organizations (PTO}, other civic groups, corporations, or individuals, and encourages their
use to enrich the instructional program. Therefore, gifts which may serve to enhance and extend the
work of the schools may be received by the District as approved by the Board.
